Maxwell Shiffman is Spider-Man's former businness manager. He first appeared in Amazing Fantsy #15 and was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Maxwell Shiffman was a television producer who saw Spider-Man's first exhibition fight against Crusher Hogan and offered to break him into television. He became Spider-Man's show business agent before J. Jonah Jameson's anti-Spider-Man campaign forced him to drop Spider-Man's contract.
